  • This is such wonderful news!! Thank you! And I just uploaded the book on Createspace. As soon as my soft proof arrives and looks ok, it will be available as a print on demand. Hopefully in a week.

If that’s the case, I’d like to wait until I can buy the print book before I leave your review on Amazon. Please let me know when Amazon has it for sale. Thanks! Again, congratulations!

  • Congratulations Ms Lauren. It looks like you have handled a very touchy subject elegantly. Especially for kids this is a very important lesson and parents stumble while talking about it. This book should provide a good perspective.

Again, Chris, you are very welcome! Clearly from my review, I so enjoyed this book! I hope that you will consider entering another of your children’s picture books in 2017. (Submission guidelines will come out in January; be sure to sign up for Gittle News at http://www.GoToGittle.com to be alerted when they’re posted.)

  • Milkweed Matter is now available as a paperback from create space. I don’t yet see it on my amazon page; I’ll have to trouble shoot that. But you can go here:

  • Ok–here is the amazon link for Milkweed Matters: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1540720934/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1481074166&sr=1-2&keywords=milkweed+matters

All I need to figure out is how to link the digital and print version on the same sales page.

    • Lisa, Contact Amazon via author central. They typically get it done within a day or less.

Thank you, Jill! You’ll enjoy any and all of them. Also, check out winners from previous years. I realized that I gave my copy of “Over the Under, and around the Square” (written and illustrated by 2014 Gittle Lister Craig Kunce) to my son. (It makes a great gift for adults, too.) So, I’m ordering another copy along with all the 2016 winning books. If you know other self-published children’s picture book authors, please tell them about the upcoming 2017 contest. Thanks and have a wonderful holiday! – Aviva

  • Congratulations to all! Especially, Mariana Llanos! Your book teaches children the essence of living with two or more cultures! Brava!
